The North Carolina College Personnel Association invites current and aspiring student leaders from across the great state of North Carolina to join us in Winston Salem, NC for NC LEAD!

This year our NC LEAD Conference,  Self-Full Leadership: Learning to Lead with Your Best Self in Mind, allow students to learn ways to practice intentional leadership and meaning making as they balance academics and making their impact on our campuses and in our communities. Join us in cultivating sustainable leadership!

Call for Proposals Open

The LEAD Conference brings together leaders from campuses across the state of North Carolina to a  one-day drive-in conference, geared towards current and rising student leaders.  The conference allows students to network, learn how other leadership teams and programs function, and to bring ideas back to campus through hands-on workshops and plenary sessions. The LEAD Conference Planning Committee is currently accepting proposals.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Proposals that are (a) informative and relevant to the conference theme and (b) supported by theory and research. All proposals should be emailed to [email protected] with the subject line, LEAD 2019 or submitted through this Google Form.

 

PRESENTATION EXPECTATIONS:

Presentation Acceptance Notifications will be sent via email on March 13th.

Accepted presenters must meet the following requirements (please read carefully):

  • Presentation: Individual sessions are assigned a 50-minute slot; 35 minutes of the presentation, 10 minutes for Q&A, and 5 minutes for the session’s evaluation.
  • Paper: Submission of abstract and detailed outline on the topic of your presentation is mandatory. Documents will be reviewed by the 2019 LEAD Planning Committee. Presenters will need to submit a Microsoft Power-Point file, a one page bio with professional head shot and AV requests.  Any additional information needed (curriculum vitae, etc.).
  • Registration: Presenters must register for the conference. Please register using your acceptance code.
